BIBL6311 Hebrew Scriptures is A broad survey of the Hebrew Scripture books, including selected introductory and critical issues, relevant background, major themes and divisions, and crucial problems. It will also include major textual critical approaches like Wellhausen. It will also touch on contemporary discussion like validity, historicity, and how to approach the text from an intersectional theological lens. Notes: Required of M.Div. and M.A. students.
This course provides an in-depth survey of the Old Testament writings, examining the major books, themes, critical issues, and interpretive approaches.
