LEAD6311 Resonant Leadership
LEAD6311 Resonant Leadership cultivates emotional intelligence competencies essential for developing high-quality connections. Coursework facilitates personal growth in self-awareness, empathy, vulnerability, and mindfulness for leading with compassion. Topics include neuroscience research, spiritual formation implications, healing shame and trauma, constructing trusting relationships, resolving interpersonal conflicts, and modeling reconciliation.
This course focuses on resonant leadership interpersonal relationship skills grounded in emotional intelligence for motivating, managing, and influencing people in faith communities.
Students will:
- Examine emotional intelligence concepts and mind/body awareness
- Learn practices for managing triggers, understanding emotions, and perspective-taking
- Apply resonance capacities in ministry relationship case analyses
- Develop an integrated leadership philosophy incorporating care for staff and congregants
