LEAD6302 Organizational Leadership 101
LEAD6302 Organizational Leadership 101 provides foundational overview of leadership philosophies, styles, and development as well as principles of strategic organizational management and administration. Topics include role differentiation, communication, decision-making, systems thinking, culture formation, change management, and more in the context of churches and nonprofit organizations.
This introductory course discusses essential concepts and competencies for leading and managing ministry organizations of various sizes and focus areas.
Students will:
- Examine influential leadership and management theories
- Learn core practices like vision-casting, problem-solving, team-building
- Analyze ecclesial case studies focused on central organizational challenges
- Develop a personal leadership and administration philosophy tailored for ministry contexts
