LEAD6301 HR for Faith Organizations
LEAD6301 HR for Faith Organizations examines principles and best practices for leading and managing people in ministry contexts. Topics include volunteer recruitment and retention, policy development, team dynamics, conflict resolution, legal issues, as well as cultivating healthy church cultures.
This course provides an overview of human resources leadership and management specifically within faith-based organizational contexts.
Students will:
- Examine foundations and challenges of leading people in ministry settings
- Learn HR policies and procedures relevant to churches and nonprofits
- Analyze case studies focused on church staff or volunteer teams
- Develop essential skills for managing relationships, performance, burnout and conflict
